Took a boat safari late afternoon. It was VERY windy - but mostly from the north which meant we were kind of sheltered. It was still quite choppy - but thanks to the little pills from the drugstore I was ok. And oh what a trip this was!
We saw puffins/lunnefåglar (too far away for our cameras, but we did see the wee little buggers!) And seagulls/måsar, northern gannetts/havssulor (big ones! Loads of them!) Cormorants/skrakar, razorbills/tordmular, and a white tailed eagle/havsörn at a distance. Wherupon everyone yelled The Eagles are coming! Of course.
We even fed the seagulls (I just watched!) Whereupon I got shat on (rain coat!!!). They were absolutely wild, and some of them landed on the boat. Or took bread crumbs from our skipper's hat!
Such a fantastic tour, highly recommended! (The boat is called Aquila if you're interested)
We really enjoyed our days on Runde. I could have stayed another night, but J is eager to get to Lofoten.
